The hard truth about Tech in legacy industries + You’re invited
Legacy industries aren’t afraid of change, they’re afraid of mistakes.
I recently published an opinion piece in Hackernoon that tackles this and more hard truths about deploying tech in “traditional” industries:
In trillion-dollar sectors, any error can cost money, jobs, and affect many lives, so people tend to stick to what they already know.
Since the pandemic, the world as we know it doesn’t exist anymore, and with AI advancing faster than ever, many people are in a kind of fog and don’t know what to choose. This creates a choice paradox: there seems to be a tech solution for everything, many of them hype-driven, and when users start to feel tech fatigue, they often revert to previous ways of doing things.
There is often a disconnect between what founders think should happen and what actually happens in reality in terms of user adoption and needs.
A founder’s responsibility is to mitigate fear by creating safety around their solution and ensuring it works properly.
People don’t necessarily want to avoid tech - some clients even push for new features - but they need proof of concept, clear expectations, onboarding, testing, and gradual evolution. What users need is not just a solution, but a system they can integrate into their work, champion themselves, and trust because they see results.
Customer success is essential, AI or no AI, because customers need to reach out, talk, and receive support to maintain trust.
Scaling tech solutions makes it harder to maintain the same level of interaction and feedback while growing.
Change needs to be progressive, not panic-driven, and supported by collaboration between companies building complementary solutions.
You’re invited!
On February 24th, I am hosting a free online webinar on the real impact of AI in real estate.

We will talk about how automation is transforming real estate sales, from lead follow-ups and client communication to reporting and pipeline visibility. You’ll see how AI-powered workflows can eliminate manual work, reduce human error, and help sales teams focus on what actually drives revenue: relationships and deals.
An AI riddle
Do you want to have a good laugh tonight?
Ask the AI you’re using the following:
There is a car wash 100 meters away. I want to wash my car. Should I walk or drive?
Comment what it replied.
We still have a long way to go to AI reasoning.
